Add a shoulder rig, mounting options, and numerous accessories to your Sony FX9 camera with this Basic Shoulder Rig Kit from SmallRig. The kit includes a VCT-14 baseplate with integrated shoulder pad, a U-shaped top plate, a side plate, a 15mm LWS rod clamp, and two 10" 15mm rods.
The VCT-14 baseplate allows you to mount the camera onto a tripod or head with a VCT-14 adapter plate using the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mounting threads, or you can utilize the soft, comfortable foam pad for shoulder-mounted handheld shots. It features two ARRI-style rosettes on either side, so you can mount a pair of optional rosette handgrips or extension arms. A lens support is also included with the baseplate to support long or heavy lenses.
The U-shaped top plate mounts around the original top handle and provides numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads for mounting extension arms, monitor mounts, and other accessories. The side plate provides additional threads as well as a rosette and a shoe mount. The 15mm LWS rod clamp mounts onto the rig and accommodates the included 10" 15mm rods to add additional accessories such as a follow focus motor or matte box.
Use the VCT-14 Shoulder Plate with Pad from SmallRig to quickly switch between handholding your Sony PXW-FX9 camera and mounting it on a separately available VCT-14 tripod adapter plate. The comfortable, integrated shoulder pad allows you to handhold your camera for long periods of time.
The plate features include front and back 15mm LWS rod support, ARRI-style rosettes, and multiple 1/4"-20 accessory threads. The bottom of the plate features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads to mount on a tripod or quick release plate, and it features a VCT-14 wedge to mount onto an optional VCT plate. Detachable rosettes on each side allow you to mount an optional rotating handgrip or extension arm. An included lens adapter support provides bottom support for a heavy lens or bulky lens support to reduce strain on your camera body.
