Dedicated to the Pentax K-3 Mark III, the D-BG8 Battery Grip offers both extended battery life and a more comfortable grip when shooting in the vertical orientation. The grip accepts an additional D-LI90 battery to increase shooting times, and the grip's design maintains the same layout as the camera body itself and includes a secondary shutter button and control dials.
I have a dedicated battery grip for all of my Pentax cameras. The grips add weight to help mitigate camera shake, especially for longer lenses. It feels good for a guy with big hands like myself. Naturally, the extra battery and shutter button are helpful. I'm using this particular grip on my K-3 Monochrome. The grip "completes" the camera for me. The Pentax quality is never in question.
