The Pentax D-BG8 Battery Grip does not include a tray for AA batteries. Only Pentax D-LI90(E) Lithium-Ion batteries could be used in this grip.

The Pentax D-BG8 Battery Grip is only compatible on the Pentax K-3 III model. The discontinued Pentax BG-5 Battery Grip for K-3 DSLR Camera is the one that is compatible with the K-3 and the K-3 II.
