Do the RF extenders work with this lens?

Do the RF extenders work with this lens?
Asked by: Dan
After speaking with Canon Support yesterday, they confirmed both RF Extenders do work with the RF 600 (and 400) mm prime lenses. Looking at the Manuals for these items, the Extenders was printed in 2019 and the RF 600 mm printed in 2020. Only 3 lenses are/were listed in the Extenders manual at time of print. That has changed and will likely continue to do so as the product line develops and is released.

Several sources have said the EF 600 iii is "slightly slower" than the RF 600 f4 when mounted to an R5. What does "slightly slower" mean? Thanks!
Asked by: Linda Avitt
I cannot say specific to the information you listed. But usually when a lens or how it functions is slower it is a reference to the autofocus speed.

Im pretty late to answer, but I would go with the sigma 60-600mm EF lens with an adapter, just for more options when it comes to focal length.

There are many methods of carrying a telephoto lens such as the Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. There are bags made specifically to carry this lens, such as the Canon Lens Soft Case LS600 (BH #CALS600), and lens straps for extras support, like the Canon Wide Lens Strap B (BH #CAWSEF300).
