Optical Performance
  • Moderate 8x power magnifies images while preserving a wide field of view and exit pupil for easier, more comfortable viewing
  • 32mm objective lenses off the performance similar to a full-sized model with the portability of a compact model
  • Compact roof prism light path keeps the optical tubes thin for easier handling and packing
  • Field-flattener lenses eliminate spherical aberration & edge distortion and correct off-axis comas & astigmatism for crisp, sharp images across the entire field of view
  • HD Optical System: Fluorite-containing glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations to enhance color fidelity and brightness
  • SWAROBRIGHT, WAROTOP, SWARODUR coatings
  • Ultrawide 68° apparent angle of view presents sweeping views of the scene in front of you and provides an immersive near-panoramic observational experience that requires very little head movement to see everything
  • Spacious 450' field of view at 1000 yards

Proprietary Swarovski Lens Coatings:

  • Highly reflective SWAROBRIGHT mirror prism coating optimizes color fidelity, contrast, and resolution
  • Anti-reflection SWAROTOP lens coating reduces glare and improves contrast
  • Scratch-resistant SWARODUR lens coatings protect the lenses to ensure views remain crisp and sharp

Use and Handling
  • Short closed-bridge configuration provides a stable platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Large, knurled focus wheel is easy to manipulate in cold and wet weather or when wearing gloves

  • 53-71mm interpupillary adjustment range accommodates users of all sizes
  • Twist-up click-stop rubber eye cups for comfortable viewing with or without eyewear
  • Exceptional 18mm eye relief helps to eliminate eye strain, especially during long glassing sessions

Swarovski NL Pure 8x32 Reviews

Amazing FOV and clarity for birding

By David

I've used several brands and magnifications of binoculars for birding in the past 20 years, but my new Swarovski 8x32 NL Pure binoculars blow everything else I've ever used away. My most recent binos were Nikon Monarch HG 10x32's, and the FOV and clarity differences aren't just statistics on paper; the Swaros have improved my birding identification significantly. Most noticeably, I can spot some likely bird movement in foliage, raise the binos, and STAY FIXED on the bird with the binos as it moves, without repeatedly using my naked eye to try to re-position. The FOV is a game changer. I actually am spending more time spotting through the binos rather than starting with the naked eye because the FOV allows for much more panoramic searching. The wildly good FOV in the Swaros is also remarkable when tracking erratic flight patterns; I was watching first-of-season swallowtail kites in flight two days ago, and could easily keep two of them in view as they circled, wheeled and dove. The whole picture is sharp, bright and clear to the edges, making the huge view entirely usable. I've also noticed a dramatic improvement in brightness and sharpness, catching details in darker, shady areas of foliage ... what looked like a mourning dove zipping into a dark branch soon proved to be a yellow-billed cuckoo when I got him in the Swaros. Something else that surprises me is how the focusing dial allows me to truly dial in on details of feathers, bill shape, etc. I thought I would be annoyed at the two full rotations it takes to fully adjust the extremes of the focus range, but in use I'm finding it to be fast, smooth and well worth the turns for the finer focus capability. A final point: the Swaros are something like 6 ounces HEAVIER than my Nikons, but they actually feel better in hand and are less tiring to hold due to the superb balance and body shape. I use a chest harness, and this works well keeping the binos close to my torso and ready to use. The Swarovski 8x32 NL Pure binos are a bit more than twice the cost of my Nikons, but they are worth every penny, especially when I've been in the field for 6 hours and am still searching for some illusive species. If these superb Swaros fit your budget, I feel confident they will be an excellent fit for your birding.

Lens caps break

I like the optics but --- I have had these for a month. A few days ago, a lens cap broke. The other one is half broken. Spoke with Swarovski and they will send me more caps and some extras since this seems to be a recurring problem. I hope that they can get them to me in time for my impending trip. (Their shipping etc center is closed until Sept 6.) What I really hope for is to get the redesign.
