The monitor will not connect to Red Camera Control. Since you can operate the menu for Komodo on the body, I would go with a different monitor with SDI input.

I have one particular client for whom I shoot Alexa Mini on the MoVI Pro and have to pull my own focus. I was looking for a 7 monitor and the Cine 7 came up on a flash sale. I can see focus well and with a hood it's bright enough for exteriors. Using the touch screen to control camera functions allows me to adjust ND, ISO, frame rate, etc. and look at playback without connecting a viewfinder. It does take a bit of time to learn the functions, but worth it.

Yes, a 14.8v power source can be used on the SmallHD Cine 7 Touchscreen On-Camera Monitor (L-Series). The monitor accepts a voltage of 10V minimum to 34V maximum for the DC 2-pin Lemo in and 6.0V minimum to 16.8V max for the battery terminal. The SmallHD Cine 7 does have a Crosshatch tool that can put a number of horizontal and vertical lines from 2x2 to 9x9 grids. You could also use a custom aspect ratio overlay for this purpose.
