Sabrent EC-PCIE Reviews
works out of the box with a msata drive
Had a lot of doubt whether or not this would work at all, put it in an old dell computer, showed up on the file system menu like a normal sata drive. Amazingly fast for a vintage machine. WARNING: 1. you will not be able to boot an operating system off of this drive. 2. the package includes a bunch of tape strips, these are heat transfer tape, that have to be installed to take advantage of the metal enclosure, again no instructions. sandwich the msata in between them. 3. the drive will not show up in bios, which is why you need to have another drive to boot off of, and point the operating system to it. In all a great, inexpensive solution for those who know what they're doing. For upgrading your computer to a faster drive this may work if you have built in graphics. Many older home systems did not have alot of extra pcie bus slots, like dell or hp, so making a gaming computer from it, which would be a great thing if you have the extra room on the pcie bus for that and a video card, impossible. Fastest file transfers ever, even from a ssd sata drive. Home server anyone??
Works Perfectly.
Does the job without issue.
