The Holy Grail
I struggled to complete a series of small photographs over 20 years and received a Christmas card made by a photographer friend who used this paper which was so beautiful. This gave me the idea to try it for this languishing project. It worked perfectly for the images, adding this glow and shimmer that made the images come alive! The paper requires that you raise your platen gap for thick paper. For most printers this is not an issue. But since there was no obvious way to do this on my particular printer, I needed to contact the manufacturer for help. After they walked me through the solution and the platen gap was raised, no more banding or smudges. I don't think the paper is meant for every project, but I haven't tried it on every project. Maybe it is appropriate, but keep in mind that it is a pricey paper. Although I downloaded the profile, I ended up using Photo Glossy because of how my printer was behaving and it looks the same as the profile.
