SmallRig 3031B Overview

Mount a larger camera on your DJI RS 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, or Ronin-S handheld gimbal stabilizer with this Extended Quick Release Plate from SmallRig. The plate measures 1.6" longer than the original gimbal quick release plate to provide additional leverage for larger cameras and more room for mounting optional components, such as a rod mount for a follow focus motor, zoom motor, or lens support.

There is a 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom rear of the plate to add an optional counterweight. The plate features both 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 camera mounting screws for mounting a variety of cameras. Padding on top of the plate protects your camera from twisting or scratching. Measurement markings on the side allow you to keep track of the best plate balancing position for your camera.

Exactly what I needed; works with RS5 too!

This is *exactly* what I needed for my RS3. My camera has a Really Right Stuff Arca Swiss plate, which is (inexplicably) not compatible with the DJI-supplied clamp. This plate lets me mount an Arca Swiss clamp onto this plate, which is 100% compatible with the RS3 and RS5.

I spoke with a B&H Live Agent who helped me figure out that this was the missing piece to getting my Nucleus Nano mounted to my DJI RS3 Pro setup. Paired with a rod mount and a 12-15mm rod adapter, you can easily get your follow focus system mounted to this setup--all while supporting bigger, cinema camera setups.

The SmallRig Extended Quick Release Plate for Select DJI Ronin Gimbals is a Manfrotto style plate. It is not Arca-Swiss compatible.

Yes, The SmallRig Extended Quick Release Plate for DJI RS 2 is the same as the RS2 plate and should work with the Tilta Power Pass Through V-Mount Plate.

No. The following plate is made and designed for the DJI RS 2 or Ronin-S handheld gimbal stabilizer.

Hi, will this work with the Smallrig 15mm dual rod mount (942)? I need to connect a follow focus as well as a lens support that bolts onto the lens foot. Can only do this with rods, unfortunately.

While it may or may not work depending on how you configure those items together, there is no inherent incompatibility between the SmallRig Extended Quick Release Plate for DJI RS 2/Ronin-S Gimbals (B&H# SM3031B) and the SmallRig 942 Super Lightweight 15mm LWS Rod Bracket v3 (B&H# SM942).

Although technically the SmallRig Extended Quick Release Plate for DJI RS 2/Ronin-S Gimbals, fits on the quick release on the Zhiyun Crane 2S, there are positioning pins on the plate that get in the way and do not allow the plate to extend as far as intended, when used with the Crane 2S.
