When attached to a flash or light panel, this Frio Hold Universal Shoe Mount allows you to couple it to any stand with 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threads. By using a polymer composite to cut down on weight, it has the added benefit of eliminating unwanted flash triggering from metal-on-metal shorting. It provides resistance to expansion and contraction under extreme temperatures and conditions compared to a stainless steel or aluminum adapter.

This is the only cold shoe I found that works with the new Canon multifunction shoe flashes like the Canon EL-5 because it is non-conductive but can support the weight of the flash. Great product includes a metal female socket to thread on 1/4” posts

Simple but excellent design. Throw all your other shoe mounts out. This is the one that you need.

Will this work with a Sony Multi Interface-style foot (a Godox V480S)? I've heard mixed reviews.
Using the Frio Hold Universal Shoe Mount with a flash that has a Sony Multi Interface shoe could damage the front contacts on the flash. It is better to use one of these, https://bhpho.to/3UMuP06.
