The battery plate provides a V-mount for a single V-mount battery and four 14.4V, 10A regulated D-Tap outputs. It's true about the loose connection

I left a 5-star review here back in 2022 (Exactly what I needed), but I guess I was just lucky that my Rolux brand batteries at that time worked well with this. I've since switched to CoreSWX Nano batteries and they don't stay attached to this plate, and lines up with what the other reviews are saying. It's such a shame because I like it so much, but there's no way I can use it like this. It's a you had one job situation. :(

This is a lot better made than I expected. I got it to eliminate the need for a cheese plate, v-lock mount, PDU combo I was trying to stack on the back of my rig. This takes care of all of those and is super stable. Also saves the headache of cable management when using d-tap splitters.

I don't see why not. Both the battery plate and IDX Micro Batteries use V-mount.

Given that this has regulated outputs - does that prevent the ground loop issue that fries SDI and HDMI ports when powering on and off?

Yes 100%. Using regulated outputs won't prevent ground loop issues from occurring. Here are a few tips from the professional source How to Avoid the Problem 1. ALWAYS make sure to plug in the power cable first and THEN connect the [HDMI] cable". 2. Make sure the battery you are using is rated for the load you will be attaching it to (don't power a full rig off an NP-F 330 for example) 3. Power off the camera and monitor before plugging them in (reduces surge current big time)
