Doesn't work with EOS R

I bought it from B&H expecting near OEM quality, a slightly better price, and several added features. But it does not work with my EOS R. I received repeated screen messages that the grip was not attached sufficiently. There was no way to make the connection stronger and I could not take any pictures with the grip mounted. Avoid this product.
