Will this shade fit the newer ViewSonic VP2788-5K? It’s not on the compatibility list, but perhaps it simply hasn’t been added.
The ViewSonic Professional Monitor Hood for 27" Monitors, B&H # VIMH27M1, is not compatible with the VP2788-5K.

It might be possible that you could use it on another 27" monitor but Viewsonic does not state universal usage/compatibility.
