The transmitters not only work with the supplied external lavalier mics, but also feature built-in omni mic capsules so they can be used as wire-free, clip-on microphones.

With its ultracompact components and ready-from-the-factory operability, the entire system is designed to be sleek, small, and user-friendly. Setting the Wavo AIR apart from products in the same class are the highly versatile mounting options (some included and others available separately), which enable placement of the Wavo AIR on anything from clothing or a camera shoe to a pole or tripod. Whether powered by the internal 6-hour batteries or via USB Type-C, the transmitters and receiver can keep you company for plenty of shoots.

Ready Out of the Box for 2-Person Shoots
Complete with two wireless transmitters that have built-in omni mics, two lavalier microphones, and an ultracompact dual-channel receiver, the interview-ready Wavo AIR makes it easy for content creators to record two subjects to a camera or smartphone. Plus, it includes indoor and outdoor wind protection to keep wind rustling noise out of the signal.
High Quality and Hands Free
The Wavo AIR brings crisp and clear sound free from wires and over a distance that can't be covered by shotgun mics or built-in mics on cameras and smartphones.
Connect and Shoot
Since the transmitters and receiver are pre-paired before they leave the factory, the Wavo AIR won't slow you down when you need to set up fast. Don't worry about weaving through menus or switching channels or frequencies; the system is made to work for you, out of the box.
Cables for Mobile or Mirrorless
The Wavo AIR is supplied with TRS (for cameras) and TRRS (for mobile devices) audio cables, the receiver's 3.5mm output can be connected to virtually any imaging hardware.
Highly Versatile Mounting Options
Provided with clip-on supports, a pendant option, and a shoe mount, the Wavo AIR components can be positioned in a variety of places. Snag the Wavo AIR Expansion Kit (available separately) to maximize the mounting capabilities to include strap-based, hook-and-loop fastener, 1/4"-20, and additional cold shoe methods.

Sound quality is non existent. No amount of tuning would increase the recording level. The two mics are worth the $20 I paid as backups.

Yes, the JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System can be used with an iPhone. The transmitters send audio wirelessly to the receiver which connects to the iPhone with a cable. You can use the included 3.5mm TRS to TRRS receiver output cable combined with the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) or as another option, just use the Comica Audio CVM-D-SPX(MI) 3.5mm TRS Male to Lightning Output Cable for Audio to iPhone (B&H # COCVMDSPXMI).

Can someone explain why they would make half of it red and not all black?

I thought at first the color would be a problem - however, they are a lot easier for me to find them when I am shooting multiple 2-4 person conversations for training purposes. I also use Picogear, which I really like, but it has been hard to keep track of the transmitters. Joby solved a lot of the color problem by including a lavalier mic when I want the mike to be more discreet. I am very happy!

There is no file transferring with the JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System because it does not record anything. You would connect it to the microphone input on a camera, or a mobile device, or a portable digital audio recorder and it would record audio files to that device. You would connect a USB cable to that device after you are done recording, to move the recorded files from that device into your computer.

The "Wireless System Only" version of the JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System does not include a charger, however it does come with 3 x USB Type-C to USB Type-A Cables for charging.

Can additional transmitters be paired with one receiver? I would love to have 3-4 mics attached to the receiver in my scenarios.

The receiver in the JOBY Wavo AIR 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System (2.4 GHz) can connect to a maximum of two transmitters at one time. Increasing the number of transmitters would require more receivers to accommodate them.
