SmallRig 3260 Overview

This Rotating NATO Left-Side Handle from SmallRig provides a secure grip for your NATO rail-equipped camera, cage, or rig that weighs up to 11 lb. This aluminum handle is configured for left-side use and can rotate 360° for optimal positioning using a quick unlock button. It also includes a 2" NATO rail with two 1/4"-20 screws to mount onto a cage or rig that does not include its own NATO rail.

The top of the handle features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads as well as a shoe mount for adding a light, microphone, monitor, mounting arm, or other accessory. The handle features a nonslip silicone grip and includes an Allen wrench that can be stored within the handle.

I was hesitant at first to purchase this handle because I've seen reviews where it loosens over time or doesn't lock its position well. I haven't ran into that issue...yet. I imagine it's in part due to how heavy your rig is but with an FX3, Atomos monitor, vmount, and other accessories, it's held up well. The fact that it can rotate is amazing while on set. I can quickly change the angle and still feel like I'm fully supporting the camera without much tension or pressure. Definitely recommend!

I bought the SmallRig 3260 side handle hoping it would be a reliable addition to my setup. Unfortunately, it developed a significant flaw early on: the handle keeps rotating in one direction, even with the locking button engaged, and there’s no way to fix or tighten it. When I reached out to SmallRig’s support team, they informed me right away that the handle cannot be fixed. Instead of offering a replacement or solution under warranty, they then suggested a 12% discount for new members, which was frustrating as it felt more like a sales pitch than customer support. The handle is less than a year old, so it should be covered under warranty, and I expected SmallRig to provide some type of solution. It’s disappointing to see a company known for quality products not stand behind their gear when issues arise. If you're considering this handle, be aware of this rotation problem and the lack of real support options if something goes wrong. I hope SmallRig will improve their response to customer issues in the future.

SmallRig does not make a right-side model of this SmallRig Rotating NATO Left-Side Handle, but for a right-side handle, you could use the SmallRig Universal Rotating NATO Side Handle, B&H # SM4359.

For some reason regarding the SmallRig Rotating NATO Left-Side Handle, no, the manufacturer has only produced left handles.
