And a wider FoV, it appears to have better edge to edge sharpness across that wider field of view as well. All in all it's a big step closer to the magnificent Monarch HG, a great upgraded newer version of the previous Monarch 7, for $10 extra bucks :-))

I bought the M7 and there was an annoying ring of ...

I bought the M7 and there was an annoying ring of light around the view. I tried adjusting diopter and eye relief and nothing fixed it. Never see this in my older Monarch 5. Any ideas what caused this?

First check if the optics are clean. Next look into the objective lens, is there any internal defect in the interior.
