Its wide pad slides along the length of the strap so you can position it where you want. The strap connects to your camera using simple split rings and supports up to 11 pounds. I ordered this small rig leather neck strap for a 75yr old Canon model iii I found in the garbage. It was still in its leather case.........being cleaned I found it to work perfectly so putting this strap on fits the year nicely. This strap is BEAUTIFULLY made and completes the find.
