The mBot2 Programmable Robot from Makeblock is a next-generation educational robot designed with extended capabilities, starting as an entry-level solution in lower secondary education and going all the way to upper secondary and beyond. The mBot2 is powered by CyberPi, an educational microcontroller enhanced with network capabilities, and is packaged with precise sensors and motors to take advantage of the programming flexibility of the robot.
Performance Powered by CyberPi
CyberPi is a powerful and versatile microcontroller for education, empowering skills in math, physics, and more. These lessons have a wide range of applications in future-friendly careers like computer science, robotics, data science, and artificial intelligence. Designed for students to carry out interactive curricula that are engaging and fun, the CyberPi features an on-board display and built-in WiFi for convenient and intuitive interaction. Its ESP32 microprocessor supports wireless communication with and operation of the mBot2 and is compatible with both block-based and Python coding for incremental education.
Precise Control and Response
While the CyberPi acts as the command center for the mBot2, several other components complete the educational experience by providing consistency when executing programs. The mBot2 Shield carries a built-in rechargeable battery and is highly versatile. It is compatible with various external accessories, including a wide range of parts available separately from Makeblock. This kit comes with a next-generation smart sensor for intelligent and accurate performance. The sensor detects objects using ambient illumination and utilizes four RGB sensor probes to properly analyze colors when programmed to follow specific lines. Encoder motors which drive the robot are precisely controlled and highly accurate, providing 1° detection accuracy, up to 200 rpm performance, and measurement of distance travelled.
