Its 39" length allows you more mounting opportunities than using the 10" cable that comes with the RED Touch LCD. This proprietary RMI (RED Monitor Interface) cable is only for RED DSMC3 products. Please note that although the cable bears a resemblance to a standard USB-C cable, it isn't one, and RED warns against using a USB-C cable in its place, as damage can occur to your camera and/or touchscreen.

I mean, it works. That guy on YouTube proved that these cables aren't special and just have no eMarker over a standard USB C and actually fit in the oddly small slot of the RED Touch. Otherwise it's a normal USB-C cable. Way over-priced.

Not the best solution. But I get it.

Bought two of these so far. Buying two more now, because they break easily. I keep buying, because I have to run the monitor. I have regrets. Lemo is a lot better and lasts longer. One note! Label these as soon as you receive them - as RMI cable ONLY, because they get lost in the mix of USB-TYPE C cables. Your DIT will take em. Your AC will confuse them.
