That's over $400... so yeah. Way too expensive.

It was redesigned because the original was terrible

Make sure the cable you buy is the new version. The original 7 and 39 cable was poorly designed and broke easily. The new version feels sturdier with a longer and more rigid base so you're no longer pulling the cable at its weakest point. They renamed it the 10, but it still measures out to 7. The 18 looks like the new version based on the image, but who knows because the 10 still has the old design image. They didn't rename the 39 so I think it's still the old design. They probably have overstock of the 39 so they didn't want to throw it away to fix their mistake. They made me buy the new cable instead of replacing my 3rd broken 7 original for the new one. Cool they fixed it, but why even make it a proprietary cable in the first place? Blackmagic touchscreen monitors use standard USB-C cables without issues. It's a terrible cable, with a terrible monitor tilt mount (that was also redesigned, but still terrible), and a terrible overheating monitor with the worst over-engineered cable input/locking mechanism.
