Not charging as it should

Bought it and hooked it up. Battery didn't charge. All lights blinked. I got the battery from a friend so I thought the battery might be the problem. I bought a new battery and the new one doesn't charge either. Not happy!

This is my second MH-33 (for a different location), and it works as expected. Not super-fast, but fast enough and dependable. I like that it shows progress, and I like that you can use it to calibrate a battery. Four stars because it cost too much and you need to purchase accessories to make it work. (It comes with nothing.) If I didn't already have the necessary additives, I might have rated it lower. Anyway, I tend to stay with Nikon for my Nikon gear, and have not been disappointed.

Will this charger also charge the EN-EL18 to EN-EL18C batteries?

The Nikon MH-33 Battery Charger can charge the EN-EL18b, EN-EL18c and EN-EL18d batteries. This cannot be used to charge older EN-EL18 or EN-EL18a batteries.

Does the MH-33 come with the EH-7P charging AC Adapter which plugs into a wall outlet? It is not listed as in the box.

yet your product answer of "3FSiBa2" cannot be found. What is the ideal input wattage that the mh-33 and an EL-18C enjoy best? The alternatives provided via your website disagree in the outputs. Does it best use only 20W input; does it throttle it self if above?

I am charging the batteries by connecting the battery charger to a usb c cord and this cord is going into a usbc port on my hyper charging dock. Seems to work fine and allows me to not have to take the charging cord it comes with me when I travel

We cannot guarantee compatibility of the Nikon MH-33 with any third party charging bricks and third party USB cables. It is only guaranteed to work with the Nikon EH-8P AC Adapter B&H # NIEH8P and the Nikon UC-E25 USB Cable B&H # NIUCE25.

What does the calibrate feature do on the MH-33?

the EN EL 18 c & d batteries communicate the state of their charge and health to the camera and charger. On rare occasions this communication will be inaccurate and not give an accurate charge state. You may get a warning on the camera to calibrate the battery, which is said to correct this situation.

Does anyone know if this charger works with a battery bank, and if not does anyone have any recommendations on a charger that does? I'd be nice to not have to plug the battery bank right into the camera to charge the batteries.

The Nikon MH-33 Battery Charger for EN-EL18d, EN-EL18c, and EN-EL18b Batteries has a USB-C charging input. So you could use a battery power bank.
