Please check with your Nikon rep. Does the DK-33 provide the same sort of eyecup as the DK-19 (a real eyecup, not just a rubber ring or an "eyebrow" as used on the consumer bodies)? Will a DK-19 fit the Z9 (it fits all other "modern" Nikon "pro" bodies)?
Nikon does not work as a DK-19. Hoodman makes a real eyecup for the Z9, BH #HOHNZ9 MFR #HNZ9 . BH description is not correct; the Hoodman Z9 eyecup does *NOT* interfere with the swing/articulate action of the rear LCD screen (monitor) on a Z9. Note that the Hoodman has better construction than the Nikon -- my DK-33 had a mechanical failure as the front and back plastic rings of the DK-33 are held together by three small plastic "struts" -- one of mine cracked. Nikon would only honor the warranty if I sent in the entire Z9 body for "repair", and instead instructed me to order another DK-33 from regular retail suppliers (BH is such a supplier).
