Seagate Internal HDD Reviews

Doubled in Price

These drives have almost doubled in price since the end of 2025! They are great but I'm not buying them anymore. I need archive drives to offload media and then it sits on a shelf. Since these drives won't have heavy hours put on them, I'm going with a 10TB WD drive for $150 cheaper.

Yeah, still worth it even with prices being what they are

It is what it is. This used to be ~$17/TB, and now it's $25/TB. But what, am I going to buy Western Digital? No way! Blame AI I guess. These keep humming along in my Synology NAS. I haven't had one fail yet but I keep ripping blu-rays to watch. It's my own fault for having all this data, but the 12TB IronWolf does the trick. Buy it while you still can.

An external power source or enclosure will be required to use this drive with a USB port, because a USB port will not be able to provide enough power to run the drive.
