Seagate 7200 Internal HDD Reviews
Just as expected. Did have to buy a SATA cable, not included.
Bulk HDD from a trustworthy seller
There is no special about the HDD itself - it's just working as expected. This is not a retail model, you won't get anything but the HDD in a sealed bag. However, when you register it on the Seagate site you get 5 years warranty! I was going to order an HDD from Amazon, they have better deals, but a bunch of reviews noted that Amazon sells used devices and manufacturers would not provide any warranty at all for them. I'm glad that I bought this HDD.
Installed in Network attached RAID storage device. No issues at all, system recovered quickly running flawlessly.
Purchased to replace the HDD in my Home DVR unit. On a tight budget and didn't have extra to spare on a surveillance drive. Should give me close to 2/3 the service life as the one it replaced (6 years).
Great for archiving!!!
I buy these by pairs to archive my video projects. That way I have two copies of each project. They work flawlessly. Furthermore, their warranty is actually worth something. Many years ago one of them went bad and it was exchanged without any problems. Very different than my latest experience with Western Digital that took half a dozen calls and emails, one of which had to be to their CEO.
Too early to tell
I have over two dozen of these drives I use when swapping out for various media projects I do. They work well. The read and write speeds are quite good for a 7200 RPM drive, but honestly the drive will sit in a safe until I need it and then, only run for a few hundred hours.
Seagate Drives the Best
As a lead tech support person for a university entity I was responsible for student labs, server installations and faculty and staff support. I always specified Seagate hard drives for our equipment, and for my own personal computers. In using Seagate drives for more than 30 years I never experienced one failure or other problem. Additionally, Seagate customer support was always friendly and forthcoming in answering any questions I might have had. This current 2TB drive was used to upgrade my personal computer for (successfully) upgrading to Windows 11. I always recommend these drives when asked.
Best HDD for it price
I bought this hdd for my new pc build and it works perfectly fine. I would order agian
