If the maker specifies particular drive, I would contact the maker of the computer. This HDD seems to work fine and is like others I have used from other makers, but on a desktop with a Gigabyte MB.

I don't have numbers but I use this drive for ProTools for recording and mixing audio in real-time , large files with simultaneous read/write. No issues.
