If it does not record internally, then is just a timecode generator that accept a timecode input and output timecode too using 3.5 mm for any camera or sound device and bluetooth compatible with a Tentacle Sync product?
Asked by: Jaime J
The Tentacle SYNC E's generate a Timecode standard called SMPTE 12M. This standard is widely used in broadcast productions. Some camera can read the signal and embed it into the metadata of the video files they record. Others can't do this, like most of the DSLR and Mirrorless cameras. On these cameras, you can record the same signal on an audio track along the video. This is called Audio TC. Some editing programs like AVID Media Composer, or DaVinci Resolve can directly read the Audio TC, others need to have it embedded first before you can sync the files. For this, Tentacle offers software: Tentacle Sync Studio (macOS) or Tentacle Timecode Tool (Windows)
