The Magbounce 2 worked as advertized. The Maggrip 2 is a pain to install on my 580EX Mk2 initially. After several tries it get "easier". I haven't figured out how to put Maggrid on Godox V100 (round head) yet.

This works better than I though

I originally thought the Magmod Bounce was just a gimmick, but I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it actually is. I typically use the Godox V1 with the diffusion dome, which works exceptionally well—especially when bouncing light off ceilings. However, in situations where there are no walls or ceilings to bounce off, I sometimes point the dome directly at the subject. The results are decent, but unless I’m standing far enough back, I get that classic “front-flash” look. After testing the Magmod Bounce, I found the results noticeably better. While the light isn’t as strong as direct front-facing flash—so you do have to increase the intensity—the spread and quality of light are very similar to a small beauty dish. I experimented with a DIY approach using a business card and a sheet of paper. The paper came close to replicating the effect but required tape to stay in place, which isn't ideal on location. The business card, on the other hand, wasn’t nearly as effective. Besides, a taped piece of paper doesn’t look nearly as polished as the Magmod Bounce. Could I live without it? Absolutely. A well-shaped piece of paper could technically do the job. But the Magmod Bounce is more convenient, more durable—especially in moist or unpredictable environments—and looks far more professional. The magnetic mounting system is simple but brilliant. The magnets are very strong. You can technically use the Magmod Bounce on the Godox V1 without the MagGrip, but the magnetic hold isn’t as secure. With the MagGrip installed, the Bounce mounts well, though it doesn’t fully seat flush around the circumference—it’s slightly larger. Fortunately, that has no noticeable effect on the light output. I’d recommend the Magmod Bounce for professional photographers who have the budget for it—just keep in mind that you'll also need the Magmod MagGrip 2 to mount it properly.
