    Audio-Technica Pro 45 reviews

Pro 45 - Cardioid Condenser Hanging Mic is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mike-low price Purchased several of these for the stage at my last school and they were great-my predecessor had been using hand-held mikes hung over the stage at my current school, and I knew these would be better-clear, sharp reproduction; good pickup area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Webcast classroom solution These microphones helped to solve a problem in designing sound pickup in a web enabled classroom. The quality for value made these an obvious choice for ceiling installation to isolate groups of 2-3 learners in webcast classroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Microphone Great Value We use three of these to place above the stage to record audio for our HD video shoot. Our client is much happier this run with the quality of the audio. The last run we hung shotgun mics in the ceiling, not a good idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upright Piano Application This is enough of an industry standard that not much has to be said about quality! Thought some would like to know that I used a pair of these with the hangers to mic an upright piano quite successfully. Opened the top lid and duct taped the hangers into position with each mic about 25% away from the end of the keyboard and pointing down and angled slightly in toward mid keymoard. Worked great, so stapled them in place as they will be used for live performance continuously. Don't forget these are condensers so you need phantom power in your mixer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied with Performance Installed two of these to pick up and reinforce sound in a church sanctuary. They work great in the space. The two mics cover the entire downstage area and we no longer need lapel mics or mics on stands. Coverage is even from stage right to stage left...works for us. I did have to purchase new Audio-Techica cable to get them to work well. I attempted to use them with existing cable and got feedback all over the place. I even bought a Peavey Feedback Ferret to address the problem. Then I purchased new Audio-Technical cable and ran that back to the mixer/amplifier. What a difference! I now have quiet mics, no feedback and a Peavey Feedback Ferret I don't need. If you get new gear and your cable is old, dump it and get new cable; it helps. B&H is great to do business with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good value working on getting a studio set up focusing on ease of use. These are cheap, but still deliver well on the sound. I'm using two in a classroom setting, one directed towards the professor, and the other towards the classroom for streaming classroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Audience Mics For the price this is a great mic. We use them for audience mics in our church auditorium. We have them hanging about 20' above the audience. They feed our TV mix as well as the in-ears for our musicians on stage so they can have a little ambient noise in their mix. Clean, low hiss.
