Enjoy high-resolution audio throughout your home with older and more modern equipment using this BTA30 Pro High-Fidelity Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver from FiiO. Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified, and packed with advanced chips and processing, this unit provides three main functions. As a Bluetooth receiver, you can connect older equipment and transmit wireless to those components. As a Bluetooth transmitter, you can connect components and transmit out to (optional) Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and other compatible devices. You can also use it as a DAC and decode audio.

Codec Support
The BTA30 Pro supports a wide range of audio codecs, including transmitting/receiving with LDAC for 96 kHz/24-bit optical wireless audio, and up to 384 kHz/32-bit PCM/DSD256 via coaxial/USB.
FiiO Music/FiiO Control Apps
They act as remote controls for the BTA30 Pro. With them you can access many functions, such as setting a fixed volume, channel balance, selecting between 4 types of audio filters, Bluetooth format priority, change LED indicators, and more.
Bypass Mode
When using the BTA30 Pro in Bluetooth Transmitting mode, Bypass Mode allows optical input to optical/Bluetooth output at the same time. When in DAC mode, Bypass Mode allows for optical input to optical output.

I want to use this as a Bluetooth transmitter on ...

I want to use this as a Bluetooth transmitter on my receiver... the receiver only has RCA jacks.. there are no RCA inputs on the BTA30 Pro... any way to work around this?

I just reported this answer as inaccurate solely because the additional device recommended, #GEATVDA, has been discontinued. I believe BH #BLADC11AU will work in its stead, but would like B&H staff to confirm.

Is this spelt bus-powered via USB? If so, can a USB 1.0 plug power this with a USB C-to-A adapter? I don't have an empty usb-c port

Yes you can use a USB cable like BH #PEUSB3CMAM6 to connect the Fiio BTA30 to a USB Type-A input.

I am searching for a bluetooth transmitter which ...

I am searching for a bluetooth transmitter which will allow me to play music on my PC and listen on my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. So far most bluetooth adapters/transmitters have failed at this task, and my understanding is that this is because these headphones only supportSBC/AAC/LDAC codec. This BTA30 transmitter appears promising however - do you know if it works with the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones? Thanks, Ben

According to Page 03 in the manual for the Fiio BTA30 Pro; When working in LDAC and aptX LL Bluetooth codec in TX mode, the BTA30 cannot be connected to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Therefore, you would need to connect via wire from the computer into the FiiO BTA30 Pro and then you will be able to use your Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones with the Fiio BTA30 Pro.

Yes, you can set the FiiO BTA30 Pro High-Fidelity Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver to transmitter mode, or receiver mode, by pressing the 'Mode' switch, located on the front of the unit.
