The tiny light measures only 1.5" square, so it can fit right into any mobile rig.
The RM01 light features a 5600K color temperature output that is dimmable from 20 to 100% in four steps and an output with a CRI rating of 95 for excellent color rendition. It incorporates an 800mAh rechargeable battery that lasts up to five hours at low brightness. To alter the light beam, the light features a mounting frame and its own snoot to focus and tighten the beam, a diffuser bulb to soften the light, a honeycomb grid to change the beam angle, and barndoors to block light. The light also can utilize eight color filters to change the light color.
The light can be mounted onto an optional mini tripod for tabletop shots, or it can be mounted on a cage, tripod, or rig using its 1/4"-20 female thread or shoe mount. The durable plastic fixture is water and dust resistant, making it usable in both dry and wet weather or while fully submerged. The included USB cable allows you to charge light using a separately available power adapter and source.

The light filters, tripods, and light barn doors all work great and the case is very handy. Four light intensities allows for lots of lighting options. You need to adjust the light barndoors carefully or before putting on bc they’re magnetic but that’s easy to manage. I originally purchased the single light and then realized I needed 3 for my mini quasi stop motion project so exchanged it. Not sure if such small lights would work for anything full scale but they’re perfect for my purposes. The single light didn’t come with a tripod, which is a great bonus along with the case. A way to see battery life would be nice but otherwise wouldn’t change anything.

At This Price It's Churlish To Pick At Small Issues. I Think They Should Leave Out The Mounting Brackets Or Improve Them And Charge A Few More Bucks.

Would this be enough for mobile kit hair light solution for interviews?
No, the SmallRig RM01 LED Video Light is really designed for illuminating tabletops, miniature products, or macro photography. You will have to keep this unit very close to your subject. I would recommend looking into a higher output monolight-style fixture.

A YT review said that this works, but to make sure the light is fully charged. If the light is operating AND charging at the same time it got very hot.

How does the light output or brightness of one of these lights compare to the similar form factor Lume Cube 2.0 lights?
This also depends on the beam width if the lights are at the same distance. Lume Cube 2.0's have a relatively wide 80 degree beam width that results in 140 lux at 0.5 meters. SmallRig does not state the beam width for the RM01 lights that results in 1000 lux at 0.5 meters.
For example, if the RM01's have the only 55 degree beam width of the Godox WL4B, the math works out the 55 degree wide beam illuminates only ( tan(55 deg) / tan(80 deg) ) ^2 = only 0.0634 or about 1/16th the area that the Lume Cube illuminates at the same distance. In this example, the Godox would have to be about four times further away to illuminate the same area as the Lume Cube. And then the 1900 lux the Godox has at 0.5 meters would be only 1/16 or about 120 lux, which is about the same as the 140 lux the Lume Cube provides to the same area.
So the answer depends greatly on the beam width and how close (or far away) you can locate the light to cover the area that need to be lighted. Most of these similarly sized and LED output cube lights give roughly the same lux if located at distances illuminating a similar area.
