The SmallRig Mini Cold Shoe to 1/4''-20 Adapter allows 138 degrees of pan/tilt adjustment and is able to stop at in position due to its friction control knob. It can be connected to the hot shoe on top of the camera via the cold shoe port, or installed at the cold shoe port of cage or grip. The fill light can be connected via a 1/4"-20 screw hole. Anti-scratch pads at the top increase the locking friction and protect the device from scratches. Weighing only 20g, the adapter is compact and portable.

After pairing it to the Ninja V+, I have found that this is not the case. I have tried to tighten the pivot screw and still have found the whole rig (Ninja V+, Battery, and SSD) to fall limp - especially if you're doing any handheld work. I'd go with something beefier/better.
