Could I mount this on a C-stand or a light stand or do I have to buy a dedicated mic stand?
This Mathews c stand adaptor 252038N and the Auray thread adaptor would allow mounting of microphone to a C stand.It is not recommended to do this in a volatile environment; a mic stand is best.

I hear a very loud, persistent, high-pitched ring when I record with my laptop. Is there a way to fix that? Also, my table stand does not fit the shock mount :/
As for the the shock mount, please double check that any smaller thread adapter inside the thread area of mount has been removed. This often can be achieved with a penny or nickel. Regarding the high pitched ring, there could be many reasons for noise issues, I do recommend calling in to our team of specialists for assistance.

does this mic have usb?
No, all it has is a regular microphone input. You'll need to plug the microphone into something else that does output to a computer. To give you an idea, I bought the Tascam UH-7000 kit (that included this mic) and used that to connect to my computer.

Atbthe bottom of the mic can i just comnect that to a tascam and start recording. Cause my friend has this huge mic with the soft sound thing around and did that. So do i need anything like the phantom power to operate this?

How does this mic sound compared to an akg p220. what type of sound does it deliver.? I cant find any videos or sound test on this microphone.
