Compact and foldable, the edelkrone Pocket Rig 3 is a portable DSLR rig that is easy to take along no matter how lightly you're traveling, making it ideal for run-and-gun capture. This latest Pocket Rig adds a detachable camera plate and both top and side half-cage components to the same fold-out support arm (now detachable) and 15mm rods as prior versions. Like earlier models, this rig improves your camera's stability and reduces fatigue by supporting your camera rig against your shoulder, chest, or waist belt.

what.s the difference between Pocke Rig 2 and Pocket Rig 3 ?
Asked by: Andres
The Edelkrone PocketRIG v3 refines that original design, adds new features. The most notable addition is the half cage which features a new set of movable mounting points to attach accessories. you will be able to attach lights, microphones, monitors, and more anywhere on the cage.

Does it function without the 15mm rod section ...

Does it function without the 15mm rod section attached? As in can it be secured to the camera and a tripod plate without the 15mm rod "block" in the middle? The pictures seem to imply this might work, but there are no clear views. My use-case would rarely need the rods, but the shoulder support/belt clip could be useful for a lot of inconspicuous run and gun work.
Asked by: Simon
Yes. The 15mm rods can be taken out of its places.

Would this work well with a battery grip equipped camera such as a Canon T4i or 5D Mark IV?

While it would work with both cameras it would not be able to work with the cameras battery grip unless you remove the handle of the edelkrone Pocket Rig 3.
