OWC Pro Dock Overview

Connect to more peripherals with the 10 Port Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock from OWC. Designed to provide extra ports and simplify your creative workflow, this dock features two Thunderbolt 3 ports with 85W and 15W of power delivery, respectively. USB-A peripherals can be connected to the three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Access compatible memory cards by using the UHS-II SDXC card reader slot or the CFexpress Type-B card slot. Transfer large files quickly by connecting to a wired network using the RJ45 10GbE port.

This dock features a Thunderbolt 3 host connection alongside an input port the included AC adapter. The Thunderbolt 3 ports can be used to daisy chain or connect to displays, including up to 4K displays, or a single 5K or 8K display which can be used through the DisplayPort 1.4 port. The Thunderbolt Pro Dock is compatible with macOS 10.13 to 13, Windows 10 (64-bit) and 11, Windows Server 2016, and iPadOS 14 and 15.

This dock is incredible! And incredibly fast! I had to do some digging to get the CF Express card to work with my older laptop, but it worked fine on my new one so perhaps it was just the firmware that needed updating and not the fault of the dock itself.

I purchased the dock a couple of months ago, and it has worked great with my laptops. I was looking for an external 10Gb adapter, so having that capability built in to the dock made it an exceptional value. Both card readers work without issue, and the CFexpress speed is very impressive. The dock has provided an improved workflow between my Fujifilm X-H2S and the laptops I use for photo editing.

The OWC Thunderbolt Pro Dock with 10GBE, USB Ports, CFExpress, Audio, DP ETC. unit has a CFexpress Type B card slot on the front.

Can this be used to connect a SanDisk Extreme SSD ...

Can this be used to connect a SanDisk Extreme SSD drive (USB-C) with a Thunderbolt 2 port on a Mis 2015 MacBook Pro.. will is handle the data trransfer and supply power to the external drive?

I dont think so. As far as I know, Apple T3 to T2 adapters arent bi-directional. Even if you had one of those if you 2015 Mac is T2 this probably wont work. If you had one of those adapters and it was bi-directional you wouldnt need this.

I have a Nikon D4s with XQD card will the CF ...

I have a Nikon D4s with XQD card will the CF Express type B reader on this dock read my XQD card formatted in the D4S ?

We can not say if the OWC 10 Port Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock's CFexpress Type B port would be able to read XQD cards. Although they should fit in the port and the connections should align the reader may not recognize the XQD format.
