The black AG03MK2 from Yamaha is a compact 3-channel mixer and USB interface with built-in DSP for streaming, sound reinforcement, and recording small performances, podcasts, lectures, and similar applications. This updated MK2 version adds a mute button and 3.5mm TRRS input for more flexible live streaming work; it also features an improved build design with updated circuitry for better sound. Capable of recording and playback of high-resolution 24-bit / 192 kHz sound, this mixer features one XLR-1/4" combo mic/line input, as well as stereo 1/4" line inputs with level control, and a 3.5mm aux input for portable music players and headsets. The mixer is compatible with Windows/Mac computers as well as iPads and iPhones.

The XLR-1/4" combo mic/line input features switchable 48V phantom power for use with a condenser microphone, and input 2 offers a Hi-Z switch for use with an electric guitar or bass. The AG03MK2 mixer has stereo 1/4" and stereo RCA outs for connecting to your PA system or monitor speakers. It also has a 1/4" headphone output with level control for personal monitoring.

Fast, Intuitive Sonic Control
The AG03MK2 is equipped with a variety of physical controls including a large 60mm fader that helps you shape and manage the audio intuitively and quickly. The newly added mute button allows you to cut your mic input at a moment's notice if the situation demands it. Reverb and muting can be controlled by the optional FC5 footswitch (available separately), freeing your hands for other tasks.

Flexible Connectivity and Loopback for Streaming
In addition to a microphone input for the condenser microphone of your choice, the AG03MK2 also features a 1/4 inch jack input for connecting a guitar or line instrument, and an upgraded 4-pole mini jack (TRRS) for smartphone input/output capabilities. You can also use the Loopback function to play back the audio signal from a connected USB device to USB streaming output as with previous AG-series mixers.
Zero-Latency DSP FX
The AG03MK2 comes equipped with optimized 1-touch compression/EQ and reverb controls to dial in the sound that best suits your style. These tools are processed by the internal DSP chip, so there's no delay, making it particularly valuable for live streaming when real-time accuracy is crucial. And when you want to capture pure, raw recordings through your preferred microphone and edit them later, you have the option to turn off these effects.
Professional-Sounding Audio
As a result of adopting USB-C connectivity and enhanced internal circuitry, the AG03MK2 enjoys a marked improvement in sound quality that will elevate your streaming audio to a more professional level.
AG Controller Software for Precise Control
AG Controller software allows users to easily and precisely check and configure the DSP audio processing inside the AG03MK2. Offering two modes of operation—Simple and Detail, AG Controller gives users of varying music-production experience detailed management of their audio from any Windows/Mac or iOS device connected to the AG03MK2 via USB.
Adapt to Your Surroundings
The sleek, slim, and compact body of the AG03MK2 can be placed on virtually any flat surface. By combining it with the optional BMS-10A adapter (available separately), it can be installed on a microphone stand. It can be connected to a mobile battery (available separately) to configure a minimal mobile streaming station, anywhere. For stable operation of the AG03MK2, a power supply of 5VDC, 900mA or more is required.
Powerful Bundled Software
The AG03MK2 comes bundled with Cubase AI music production software, as well as WaveLab Cast for audio production and editing. The AG03MK2 is compatible with Rec'n'Share and Cubasis LE applications for iOS devices, which are available free of charge from Yamaha and Steinberg to support and inspire your audio content creation.

I had a 16 bit mixer which was very unprofessional in streaming my games my voice was very low and quiet but with this mixer which is 24 bit it fixed all of my audio issues after i installed the drivers for the usb now when i stream my sound is very clear loud and professional

Is this mute switch quiet? How noticeable is the mute switch for livestreaming? Also will this pre-amp drive a gain hungry microphone?

Yes, the mute switch on the Yamaha AG03MK2 3-Channel Mixer & USB Audio Interface is quiet and can be used to silence the audio while livestreaming. The input gain level for a microphone is most likely not going to be sufficient for a mic that requires a lot of gain. If you have a dynamic microphone that requires high gain, you may need to use a separate booster or preamp to supply the gain needed for your mic.
