This Westcott X-Drop Pro Fabric Backdrop measures 8 x 8' and is printed with a neutral gray tone to produce professional-looking images. It can be used for all types of photography, including portraits, headshots, products, video, and more.

The fabric backdrop is easy to use, machine washable, and reflection free. Made of soft, 100% polyester material, it can be easily folded for transport to your next shoot. Adding gels, adjusting the position, and changing the color temperature of your lighting can alter the appearance of a printed backdrop, allowing you to achieve multiple looks with one product. It has five metal grommets so you can hang it on a separately available X-Drop Pro backdrop stand.

Fits my need perfectly. Lightweight and compact for easy transport. Assembles and disassembles very easily, yet is very stable. Requires little space when assembled. It does require a bit of care in positioning to make sure light does not go through it and reveal the shadow of the cross bracing.

Will this work with the x drop system that came ...

Will this work with the x drop system that came with the 5x12’ drop? I don’t need a longer drop and would prefer to go with 5x7’ for my second drop. The description says this 5x7’ works with the 5x7’ system but looks like the same only no material for a “floor drop”

Yes it will. There is one X-Drop frame (Westcott Part #570X) and both the 5x7 and 5x12 work with that frame.

The Westcott X-Drop Pro Wrinkle-Resistant Sweep Backdrop stand has hooks for the grommets to put it on. If you will do DIY backdrop - you will be able to place it on the stand, but at the moment we do not carry any off brand backdrops with that type of mounting.

Is the White a pure white? Does it bounce light well, or does light pass through it? I will be using this as a reflector for photographing rooms.

The Westcott X-Drop Pro Water-Resistant Backdrop Sweep Kit (High-Key White, 8 x 13') BH #WE877SK has a train for going under the subject. The frame supporting it is the same as the 8x8' Kit.

No, the Westcott X-Drop Pro Wrinkle-Resistant Backdrop (Chroma-Key Green, 8 x 8') would not fit to a Westcott 8 x 8 Scrim Jim frame properly.

The Westcott X-Drop Fabric Backdrop (Parchment Paper, 5 x 7') BH #WE643F was designed for the X-Drop frame, but it also has a rod pocket for use with traditional background support systems.

can you use a weight on this stand to stabilize?

This is designed to be very lightweight. I would not advise weighting it. As it is it is, it holds up quite well but if you need to use it in the wind I would suggest a different system. Personally I wouldn’t use any backdrop in any type of wind. Other than that I can’t see a need to weight it.
