The SmallRig Baseplate for Nikon Z30 both improves your grip and adds multiple mounting points to the bottom of the camera. Mounting options include an integrated Arca-type dovetail, a cold shoe mount, and 1/4"-20 threads for a DJI upper quick release plate. This baseplate has a hinged arm to accommodate battery swaps, and it mounts easily on your camera using the included 1/4"-20 D-ring screw.

Got this for my Z30 and am so glad I did. It greatly improves the ergonomics of the camera and protects the base from knocks and scratches. It's very well made making it feel a part of the camera. The grip is improved without adding unnecessary bulk. With the extra room for your pinky, operating the camera is more natural and comfortable. It's a must if you intend to use larger lenses as it will improve the overall balance and handling.
I was concerned that it would not properly fit my camera. There was no problem. It fit perfectly and is well made.
