Comfortably support your gimbal by transferring weight to your core using the Lightweight Gimbal Support Vest from Tilta. This ergonomic, slim-fit vest supports up to 22 lb, works with most single and dual-handle gimbals, offers multiple 1/4"-20 threads and shoe mounts, and provides tripod grip and DJI RS 2 and RS 3 battery grip support.

This simple piece of gear is a game changer for gimbal work. With gimbal work, so much energy is expended in between shots when you are holding the gimbal and not shooting. This took all that weight off my arms, and even during shooting gave me two free hands to make camera adjustments before taking it out of the holster to shoot holding the gimbal. Adjustable straps are great to customize fit. Really glad I bought this. My forearms used to be VERY sore the day after an all day gimbal shoot. The dual handle transfers weight to the biceps which was easier. Would highly recommend this for anyone feeling the strain from all day gimbal work.

Solid and Affordable Support Solution

This system works well, and as intended. I ended up coughing up a LOT more for the Float System and added the Advanced Dual Handle and components, in order to add additional power and gimbal/focus controls. However, with Raven Eye and DJI's Lidar module, in many cases this simple, affordable solution will work for many simpler applications (slow tracking shots from a standing position), but it is really what it says: a support system, only. It is very well constructed and the belt is comfortable; and I am an portly 5/8, this this belt is riding on a roll, not my hips. Yet, it works. For the money, and for support for one's aging back, this is a must.

Does it allow up/down movement of the gimbal? ...

Does it allow up/down movement of the gimbal? I.e. am I able to go from getting a shot closer to waist level, up to chest level?

The Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System has a fixed level and you would have to adjust your body level to get the correct level for your shot. The only way to adjust the height would be to use a longer or shorter rod that connects to the base of the gimbal handle. .

Can this work with the Ronin S?

The Dual handles are not compatible with the Ronin-S combined with the Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System. The Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System is compatible to use with the Ronin-S for support on the base post however.

The limitation would be in the gimbal being able to be used, not the side handles, with the Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System.
