Does it allow up/down movement of the gimbal? I.e. am I able to go from getting a shot closer to waist level, up to chest level?
The Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System has a fixed level and you would have to adjust your body level to get the correct level for your shot. The only way to adjust the height would be to use a longer or shorter rod that connects to the base of the gimbal handle. .

The Dual handles are not compatible with the Ronin-S combined with the Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System. The Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System is compatible to use with the Ronin-S for support on the base post however.

The limitation would be in the gimbal being able to be used, not the side handles, with the Tilta Lightweight Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System.
