I wanted a small, economical compact light for studio use and potential travel. The MS200v serves well for this purpose. The strobe is useful for portraits, product work, fill lights etc. The power is adjusted similar to a speedlight (1/4 pwr 1/2 pwr ) as opposed to arbitrary numbers on some strobes. It has a Bowens fit, so many modifiers will work with the device. This is a corded light, so best used indoors. Unfortunately it does not come with a reflector which would have increased its value, but reflectors are readily available.

This is the place where your salesman did his best work. This light set is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't describe what I wanted but he got me just what I needed. I now have almost everything I need to start my photography business. My studio isn't up yet or I would send pictures. Ask me in a couple of weeks and ask me to show you something I do.

When using the Godox MS200-V Studio Flash Monolight with the Nikon SB-900 speedlight on the camera, you can set the Godox light to trigger via optical slave mode. If you want to use both lights off camera, you can use the Godox X2 2.4 GHz TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Nikon mounted on the camera shoe as a trigger with the Godox X1R-N TTL Wireless Flash Receiver for Nikon (BH # GOX1RN) under the SB-900 if using the speedlight off camera.

The Godox MS200-V Studio Flash Monolight (B&H# GOMS200V) is compatible for use as a manual flash with all versions of the Godox XPro line of transmitters, among them the Godox XProF TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for FUJIFILM Cameras (B&H# GOXPROF).

The only difference between the new new Godox MS200-V 200Ws Studio Flash, B&H # GOMS200V, and the original Godox MS200 Monolight, B&H # GOMS200, is the older MS200 has a 150W halogen modeling lamp, whereas the MS200-V uses a 10W LED modeling lamp which is brighter than the 150W modeling lamp. Otherwise, the units would be the same in terms of features and performance.

Yes, the Godox MS200-V Studio Flash Monolight (3-Light Kit) will work with the Nikon Z7 ii camera. The strobes are manual. So, they do not support TTL.
