The SFL (SmartFocus Lightweight) line uses slightly smaller objective lenses for a significant weight reduction from previous models, making a day of nature observation or sightseeing more comfortable. You'll enjoy the generous field of view for the big picture and the 5' close-focus distance for a good look at that nearby bird or butterfly. Schott HT glass with the famous T* ("T star") coating delivers 90% light transmission for a beautiful image, even in the low light of dusk or dawn. The SFL is nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging and waterproof to nearly 14'.
Lightweight Magnesium Chassis
- The lightweight yet rugged magnesium housing enhances durability and longevity for generations to come. The smaller lens diameter allows ZEISS to use thinner lens elements that can be installed closer together. At the same time, the SFL binoculars offer flawless image quality despite the incredible reduction in weight and volume relative to other models.
- The lens diameter has been reduced by 2mm, making it possible to use thinner lens elements at closer spacing and reduce the weight by up to 20% and their volume by up to 13% compared to the ZEISS Victory SF models.

The focusing wheel, perfectly positioned in the DoubleLink Bridge, offers the highest level of operating ergonomics, requiring only 1.4 turns from close focus to infinity and capable of being rotated precisely even with gloves on.
