This unit is another fine product in APCâs line of UPSâs. Iâve used APC for decades and find them to be reliable at protecting equipment. I bought this UPS to upgrade a very old model Iâd been using for our entertainment system. This unit fits my needs perfectly at 480 watts and with 6 battery protected outlets on the back I can plug the TV, receiver, subwoofer, turntable, blu-ray, and streaming cube directly to the UPS. Side note: Printers. In a one-star review of another APC UPS, a user complained that when he hooked up his printer, the UPS beeped and shut down. A inkjet printer might be ok, but laserjet printers have a heating element that draws a lot of power. Laserjet printers should just be plugged into a surge protector not a UPS.
I got it Feb-2024 and has been powering my Synology NAS and external backup disks. Have had a few brief power outages since getting it and everything worked as advertised. One thing I have to figure out is how to turn off the very large & bright green light on the front panel. It would be great if this supported Blutooth or wireless to connect to rather than wired.
