At the heart of FREEFLY's MōVI Pro system is the gimbal unit. Using the "Toad in the Hole" quick release system, this gimbal can be attached to handles, aerial platforms, or terrestrial vehicles for stable, professional shots. The MōVI Pro motorized gimbal stabilizer steadies cameras weighing up to 15 lb, rendering it compatible with mirrorless all the way up to smaller cinema cameras. With separately available battery options, the camera and essential accessories can be powered without adding any bulk to the MōVI Pro via its D-Tap output port.

Power Surge Firmware Update
The newest firmware update gives the MoVI Pro motor a power boost to increase camera control. Hold your top speed for longer and recover faster thanks to Maniac Mode 2.0, which increases time at peak torque for all three motors. The motor temperature estimator has been reengineered to sustain maximum torque for longer while protecting the motors. On-screen display control can be facilitated via MoVI Controller when filming with the FREEFLY Ember, Panasonic BGH1, and Panasonic BS1H with the Entire Air Commander.
Versatile "Toad in the Hole" Design
The MōVI Pro is capable of turning 180° to quickly transition from upright to inverted mounting modes and transition from handheld to TERO-mounted configurations. Handle configuration options include the RING Pro, skate, and classic modes. Mount the gimbal onto a drone and use the dual GPS units on the top and bottom for solid signal in both Sky or GroundView.
3-Axis Lens Control
Built into the camera stage is a fully integrated lens control system. Use the internal, long-range 2.4 GHz frequency hopping signal to connect to the separately available MIMIC, Mōvi controller, or a combination of the two.
RED RCP2 Integration
Access RED camera controls like focus, iris, ISO, and start/stop thanks to the integrated RCP2 control. Use the Mōvi or MIMIC controller to adjust those settings from hundreds of feet away.
Built-In Screen
Gives the user quick access to important information
Tune/adjust parameters on the fly without a phone or computer
Enter majestic angle or time-lapse mode
Pan, tilt, roll balancing, and stiffness
Full stiffness and filter auto-tune in approximately 10 seconds
Improved Stability, Increased Torque
High-quality sensors with precise calibration allow for smooth performance even during the most demanding shots with a 60 dB at 1 Hz disturbance rejection. The Pro features twice the torque of previous gimbal motors thanks to its direct-drive brushless motors.
Power Capabilities and Compatibility
The dual battery plates are hot-swappable for easy replacement while shooting in the field. They are compatible with separately available Mōvi Pro, SL4-Ground, and TB50/55 batteries.
Three D-Tap outputs and one USB output on the gimbal provide the camera and any attached accessories with power.
App Control
Tune and customize your gimbal in real time using the iOS and Android compatible Mōvi Pro App. Configure your time-lapse settings and monitor battery status all from your phone, which is especially useful when your gimbal is mounted on the TERO vehicle or a high-powered drone.
Compatibility

I used the M5 for a while when I was shooting with a DSLR and sold it when I upgraded to the Ursa Mini. I borrowed a DJI Ronin and put my Ursa Mini Pro on it (external buttons help a ton as a gimbal camera btw), and after using it for about an hour my back was absolutely killing me, and I was literally sore for several days.
Flash forward to finally purchasing the Movi Pro--I used it three days in a row shooting for about six hours each day, and my back was fine. Same camera, same monitor, much lighter gimbal. And part of that is being able to set it down--but a huge part of it is that it's just so much lighter.
For my uses I haven't made any tweaks...the way they had Majestic Mode set up out of the box has been great for how I use it. New batteries are a massive improvement over the original Movi batteries. I power the Ursa Mini Pro off the p-tap outlet in the carriage, which is wonderful. Using the Movi that way I can shoot 2 or 3 hours before the batteries run out, and that's if I'm pausing the motors in-between shots and being mindful of how long I'm leaving the camera on when I'm not using it. And that's nice because it preserves my v-mount batteries for handheld/tripod use.
The ring is great, makes it so easy to control and maneuver the gimbal. And it's so very nice to be able to set it down at the end of a shot instead of having to walk back to where the stand is located. And you can set it on desks or other flat surfaces to get low-angle tripod-ish shots. But mostly it's great for preserving energy.
The only thing I've had an issue with is the top handle. For one, I'm not sure why they couldn't have come up with a quick-release solution instead of having to screw in 4 tiny screws, and then unscrew them and take the handle off when you want to put the Movi back in the case. That's the only part of it that it's slick and easy. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as to why they didn't do that--they're much smarter than I am and have spent way more time thinking about this thing!
But also, the monitor mount that's built into the handle is thoughtful, but it doesn't seem to be designed to hold the weight of my SmallHD 702 bright monitor (which is fantastic)...after a few uses the screws started to come loose which makes the monitor bobble while I'm using it. I really like that spot for a monitor mount but I'm thinking that I'm going to have to buy a different 30mm mount to put the monitor on somewhere else on the ring.
I'm using the Anton Bauer 9" P-tap cable which is a perfect fit for the UMP, and the Wooden Camera coiled 20" - 36" BNC cable; in the picture I've got a different SDI cable that didn't work so well because it didn't flex and didn't have right-angle ends.
It's been tricky to balance the Ursa Mini Pro but once it's locked in the Movi Pro handles it wonderfully, and the resulting footage is indeed majestic. And when I get home my back still has enough strength to pick up my daughter.
Everything you want in a gimbal, and worth the price in my opinion.

This package contains the FREEFLY MIMIC Beta B&H # FRMIMIC which is Designed to replace a joystick when operating MoVI gimbals, FREEFLY's MIMIC Beta allows you to intuitively control your MoVI by simply moving the MIMIC. However, a follow focus system would be separate and is not included.

question
Could the Sony FS7 & 16-35mm Canon lens work with the Movi Pro? If not, FS5?
Asked by: Anonymous
Since the M?VI Pro has not yet been released it has yet to be specifically tested with the FS7 so we are not yet sure if it will work. We can tell you that the camera cage for the M?VI Pro will be slightly smaller than the camera cage for the M15, B&H #FR95000028, and the M15 is the system Freefly recommends for the FS7. While the FS7 may be too large we are confident that the FS5 will work on the M?VI Pro. Please keep an eye on this page for updates and new information as it becomes available.

question
Does this kit include a case?
Asked by: Darren
This bundle will not include a case. However we do have some nice options from Porta Brace that you can look in to. For a soft carrying case B&H #PORIGMOVIOR is a good option. While B&H #POPB2750F is a great option for a hard case with customizable foam.

Would the Canon XF605 UHD 4K HDR Pro Camcorder fit in the FREEFLY MoVI Pro? Are they compatible size-wise?
Asked by: Douglas Troy
The FREEFLY MōVI Pro camera cage measures 196 × 200 × 175mm (L×W×H) and the Canon XF605 measures 385 x 219 x 210 mm, therefor, it will not fit onto the FREEFLY MōVI Pro.
