Tripp Lite SRW15US Overview

Incorporate this Tripp Lite SmartRack Wall Mount Rack Enclosure into your server room for a 15 RU wall-mounted enclosure capable of supporting up to 200 lb of equipment. The SmartRack features a reversible front door and hinged back panel for easy access to all sides of your equipment. Adjustable vertical mounting rails can accommodate network switches and panels up to 20.5" deep.

Ventilation panels all around the enclosure ensure your equipment receives proper airflow and prevents overheating. Cable ports route cables on the top and bottom panels to improve routing. The SmartRack is constructed with steel for maximum durability and includes an installation kit with all the tools needed to properly mount it to the wall.

Rack is rock solid, comes pre-built and is not flimsy in any way. The reversibility of the rack so the door hinges either left or right is very helpful. Very pleased with the unit itself, the U's are perfectly sized for use and did not cause any issues with rack stud units I used in lieu of cage nuts.

Shipping not ideal

I was originally thrilled to not have to deal with freight shipping like other vendors. However, it's clear that Tripp Lite does not package their racks for regular shipping. Since this rack is for my basement and didn't affect its functionality, I decided not to make a claim. The rack itself is great and I'm quite happy with it. I like the fact the door and side panels can be completely removed. That makes it much easier to setup equipment and makes it look like the simpler rack without panels. It looks good both ways. I put the optional casters on mine, but like the option to wall mount in the future.
