Does the digital fuse on this adapter A00028 ...

Does the digital fuse on this adapter A00028 prevent SDI blowouts common on Red and other cameras powering accessories like my smallhd monitors? Or is it still necessary to follow SDI connection protocol?

The fuse on the Wooden Camera Micro Battery Plate Adapter for RED V-RAPTOR (V-Mount to Gold Mount) will prevent accessories from drawing more than 3.8A via the D-Tap ports, but will still deliver power to the camera. It would still be recommended to follow the recommended SDI connection protocol.

will this also work with red Komodo x?

I purchased this adapter ... mounted to the KX .... and had a series of lockups from the camera ... fried an Angelbird CFEX B 2 Tb card ... not sure if there needs to be a firmware update ... am on Red 1.25 but the Adapter is on its way back ... So now I have new cards and am moving to the fragile V mount from my preferred Gold mounts. Thanks Wooden Camera ...
