Ethol LPD Liquid Developer Overview

Ethol LPD Developer is called the "Lasting Paper Developer".

This developer is known for its lasting qualities, as well as being non-toxic to skin.

LPD contains no metal, provides long life, sharp blacks and whites, and has various dilution capabilities.

It works well with all black & white paper types including resin coated. LPD will not change contrast even as you dilute it to create different tones.

whats the difference with the liquid and powder ...

whats the difference with the liquid and powder version of the developer?

The powder and liquid versions of this developer have the same properties. However, the powder version would require the addition of water at a temperature of 80-90° F to completely dissolve it while the liquid version can be diluted with water at temperature between 60-80° F.

When dilution is suggested as 1:3, is that 1+3? or diluted 1 to become 3 times as much? Is the final amount 4 or 3?

1:3 is sometimes written as 1+3. Both mean 1 part concentrate mixed with 3 parts of water. You may also see, 1 in 4, which also means 1part of concentrate plus 3 parts water to give a TOTAL of 4 parts of diluted (ready to use) developer.
