Vaxis Atom A5 Overview

This Atom A5 Wireless Monitor Professional Package from Vaxis is a bundle of gear that features two Atom A5 monitors, antennas, screen protectors, an extendable tripod, a carrying case, and other accessories. With this bundle, you can use the two included monitors to transmit, receive, monitor, and record high-quality wireless video transmissions. The Atom A5 features a 5.5" touchscreen display that provides a sharp 1920 x 1080 resolution and 1000 cd/m² brightness.

Its built-in wireless transmitter and receiver allow you to send and receive video between the Atom wireless transmitter/receiver ecosystem up to 492' away. It has enough sharpness to be a great companion for your wireless follow focus.

General
The monitor supports up to 1080p60 video input via its HDMI input, and it features an HDMI loop output to send video to an external display. It also allows you to record your program as an MP4 proxy using the built-in microSD/TF card slot. Multiple imaging tools are available using the built-in CINE OS software, including scopes, peaking, and storage of up to 50 3D LUTs on the monitor.

The Atom A5 features HDMI input and HDMI loop output, as well as a 3.5mm headphone output.
Wirelessly Transmit and Receive Video
Transmitter and receiver in one; can transmit or receive to or from multiple Atom series transmitters and receivers.
Recording
Record MP4 video files onto a microSD/TF card with the built-in media slot, and the Atom A5 allows you to instantly play the footage back.
Compatibility
Compatible with the Atom ecosystem, including the Atom 500 HDMI or SDI, Atom 600 KV TX, and Atom A5H.
Timecode Sync
The Atom A5 can sync timecode with the camera so you can simultaneously trigger record on the monitor when the camera records.
Wireless Range
Transmission distance up to 492'.
Image Tools
The updated CINE OS software features multiple imaging tools such as peaking and scopes, and it supports up to 50 3D LUTs to be stored on the monitor.
Antennas
Two replaceable antennas can be swapped out for optional longer-range antennas.

I will first say that I purchased this product used $750. For this price and functionality, this product is great! No noticeable delay. Great sharp monitor. Great accessory to my kit for monitoring. I also have Ninja Vs but they are no replacement for these.

Great brightness, decently sharp and a good set of features that you would need as a DP or 1st AC/Focus (False Color, Scopes, even Anamorphic De-squeeze. Setup was a little odd connecting to the Atom 500 SDI kit; needed to Pair the two systems, but wasn't very clear to do so from the menu and otherwise vague manual. For the simple fact that for under $1.5K I now have a robust wireless video solution for my 1st AC/Focus, Director, not to mention anyone joining via the app, this purchase is well worth it.

Yes, as long as you are recording audio into the camera with the Rode Wireless Go while it is connected to the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, it will also transmit audio. The audio is embedded to the HDMI cable sent into the Vaxis Atom A5 Wireless Monitor Professional Package.

It can transmit to up to three iOS devices using the Vaxis app. Note that this app has very limited functionality.

There is no record limit other than media with the Vaxis Atom A5 5.5" Wireless RX/TX Monitor.
