Yes the Godox MS300-V Studio Flash Monolight should work with the flashpoint R2 Xpro II controller.
Note, the Godox MS300-V Studio Flash Monolight is a manual flash and does not support TTL.

I cannot figure out how to connect the MS300 to the light stand. The light connection is round. Stand is screw-on adapter.
The post on the stand goes into the female receiver on the light. With this light you do not use the screw on the top of the stand. The light just goes on the post over the screw and down onto the larger post.
