The Fortis 5C 50TB 5-Bay USB 3.2 Gen 2 RAID Array is designed to meet the needs of power users with large storage requirements. This Fortis 5C features a storage capacity of 50TB, configured as 5 x 10TB Enterprise HDDs that are preformatted exFAT, which is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. Also featured is all-aluminum construction, a silicone rubber sleeve, a molded handle, and locking trays that allow for on-the-go protection. Airflow is maximized by a 3000 rpm exhaust fan to keep heat away from the internal drives and may be configured for 24/7 operation or intelligent cooling, which activates the fan only when the internal temperature reaches 95°F.
Please note that the Fortis 5C is not a hardware RAID. However, it comes bundled with SoftRAID Premium, allowing it to be configured as a software RAID.
