Will this bag fit with the Z9 attached to the 400 2.8 lens?
Not in terms of providing protection for the camera body and for the mounting of the camera to the lens. Better to buy something like the Ruggard Alpine 600 that is 3 inches longer and has larger pockets for additional items.

The Nikon CL-M5 Lens Case is designed to work with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR Lens which thicker and longer than the Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S Lens.
